Our Story

Fresh Rootz™ Juicery & Cafe is more than a juice bar — it is a wellness-driven community space rooted in healing, compassion, and healthy living. Founded in 2019 by Fatima Tekko alongside a passionate team dedicated to holistic health and plant-based nutrition, Fresh Rootz™ was inspired by a deeply personal mission: helping improve her brother’s health during his journey as a triple organ transplant candidate. Mohamed, quickly became a part of creating the menu, giving motivation to the juice combinations, and the why behind serving the community. What began as research into natural foods, herbs, vitamins, and holistic healing evolved into a purpose-filled brand focused on making healthy food and wellness accessible to the community.

Built on the belief that food can nourish both the body and spirit, Fresh Rootz™ offers fresh-pressed juices, superfood smoothies, wellness shots, raw teas, sea moss add-ons, acai bowls, vegan meals, and holistic health options designed to support overall wellness and healthy lifestyles. Every menu item is crafted with nutrient-rich ingredients that promote energy, balance, and better well-being while still delivering bold flavor and comfort.

But Fresh Rootz™ was never meant to only serve drinks and food — it was created to serve people. Originating with a location in Midtown Detroit near Wayne State University and NOW Rochester Hills, Michigan, near Oakland University, Fresh Rootz™ has become a welcoming space for students, families, professionals, and health-conscious individuals seeking healthier food alternatives in Michigan. The café was intentionally designed to feel uplifting, educational, and community-centered, offering spaces where people can gather, study, connect, and feel supported on their wellness journeys.

Driven by empathy, purpose, and community impact, Fatima Tekko helped shape Fresh Rootz™ into a brand that represents hope and healing. Her vision continues to inspire the company’s growth as Fresh Rootz™ expands its reach near college campuses and communities looking for vegan food, holistic wellness solutions, fresh juices, and healthier lifestyle choices.
